Another productive and good week has past for our family. More meetings have been scheduled – we now have a total of 25 meetings scheduled – and plans for our transition move to Oklahoma for the summer have begun to form. Our plans for the next month and few days are that we will spend the next week and a half here in Yuma until the first weekend in May. At the point we will travel up to Nevada to be at 4 churches during the first 3 Sundays of the month. Once we return from that trip we will spend the third week here in Yuma and then leave out for Oklahoma on Memorial Day. We plan to stop in Frisco, TX for a few days to survey the area since we have never been there before. It will be exciting to actually see the destination that we are working so hard to get to.
New Support
Since our last update we have had one more church take us on for financial support – thank you Fellowship Baptist Church in Stilwell, OK. This of course is Amber’s home church. We are humbled that they are placing confidence in us, especially without us having the opportunity to share our burden with them. (Of course we will be presenting this to them once we arrive in Oklahoma.) With the addition of this supporting church, our support coming in is now at 15%. Praise God!
Nevada Trip
We are looking forward to our previously mentioned Nevada trip in May. On May 6 we will be with Pastor Cervi and the Faith Baptist Church in Silver Springs. On the Sunday morning of May 13 we will be Pastor Davis at Bethel Baptist Church in Lovelock (this is a new church plant that we have been supporting through Freedom Baptist Church here in Yuma), and then on that Sunday evening we will be with Pastor Mondt and the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Winnemucca. The following Sunday, May 20, we will be with Pastor Ralstin and the Lighthouse Baptist Church of Reno. This will be our first “big” trip; we are excited to not only visit these churches, but also to have time to enjoy the sites of Nevada in between the meetings.
Please continue to keep us in your prayers especially as we begin to travel more and more. We personally know of several missionary families who have been involved in auto accidents over the last year, and it a reminder of just how vitally important prayer is for those on deputation.
